The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has sealed a mansion allegedly traced to former Governor Willie Obiano at Ngozika Estate in Awka.
The Commission alerted members of the public to keep off from the property which it said was investigation.
Written on the building was ‘EFCC, Keep Off; Under Investigation.’
The EFCC released the former Governor on administrative bail on Thursday after being in custody since March 17, 2022.
Obiano was arrested on his way to Houston Texas, at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, the very day he handed over to Governor Charles Soludo.
The former Governor was picked up at 8:30 pm by Operatives monitoring his movement as he made to board a flight to Houston, Texas.
The Commission which moved him to Abuja the following day has been interrogating him for allegedly diversion N42 billion Anambra State funds.
A top source at the commission said that the funds involved N37 billion Security Vote and N5 billion Sure- P funds.
When correspondent contacted the Head of Media and Publicity of the EFCC, Mr Wilson, Uwujaren, he said he did not have the information to confirm.
