By Sadiq Umar – The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested a former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, a former Permanent Secretary, Fatima Bamidele and a director simply identified as Ibrahim, over 2014 immigration recruitment scandal.
The trio were arrested in connection with the March 15 recruitment exercise for the Nigerian Immigration Service that ended in tragedy. The 3 suspects are to be arraigned in court on Tuesday
Since the incident, Nigerians have been calling for investigation and punitive action Mr.Moro and the then Comptroller-General of Immigration, David Parradang.
At least nine job seekers died on March 15, 2014 at the Abuja National Stadium.
