Police in Ebonyi state have confirmed the arrest of a suspected serial rapist, Miracle Onwe, from Izzhiangbo in Ohaukwu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State
Police spokesperson in the state, Chris Anyanwu, made this known while parading the suspect before journalists in Abakaliki, the state capital
Anyanwu said Onwe came from behind, pushed down the victim, Ruth Nwizi, and forcibly had carnal knowledge of her without her consent while on her farm at Aboffia village in Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State,
He said immediately after the act, Onwe robbed Nwizi of her Infinix Smart 5 phone valued at forty five thousand naira and took to his heels.
Speaking with newsmen, Onwe, said he had no reason for committing the crime, and he has raped only two people in Aboffia community.
The Network gathered that Nwizi said she was working on her farm when Onwe came from behind and forced her down and raped her. Saying that she wants justice.
