National Chairman of Labour Party(LP), Mr. Dan Nwanyanwu has said that Hon. Opeyemi Bamidele is the only aspirant that has purchased the governorship form of the party in Ekiti State, even as he declared the party will still conduct primary with only one candidate who picked the form.
Nwanyanwu disclosed this on Wednesday in Abuja, when the Ekiti state governorship aspirant of the party in the next guber poll, Hon. Bamidele visited the National secretariat to submit his form.
The LP National Chairman said there was “no dictatorship in LP unlike like other political parties in the country.”
He argued that the party was the only real progressive party in the country, saying that all other who lay claims to progressivism are counterfeits.
The chairman assured Hon. Bamidele that he would teach the aspirant on how to defeat the incumbent governor because the party has done it in Ondo state and it will also be repeated in Ekiti.
Responding, Hon. Bamidele said his form carried the signature of 20 members of Labour party in the state which cut across all the local governments, which according to him was an indication that the party is fully on ground.
He also added that Labour Party was fully on ground in Ekiiti state and the party parades notable and influential personality in the state as its members.
