DSS ARRESTS FORMER AVIATION MINISTER HADI SIRIKA 

 the Department of State Services (DSS), on Thursday quizzed the former Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, over the recent “launch” of Nigeria Air.

Sirika was spotted at the DSS headquarters in Abuja, for questioning in a Range Rover SUV. 

A source said he was reportedly grilled for several hours by DSS officials.

It would be recalled that the acting managing director of Nigeria Air, Captain Dapo Olumide, had revealed that the plane that was unveiled as Nigeria Air by Sirika was a chartered aircraft from Ethiopian Airlines.

The action attracted widespread condemnation from Nigerians who described the the “launch” of Nigeria Air with a charter Ethiopian Airline aircraft as a scam.

It was revealed that the plane that was unveiled had over 10 years old and had previously been operated by Ethiopian Airlines and Malawi Airlines.
