Commander 302 Artillery Regiment, Commends Personnel over Commitment in Tackling insecurity

The Commander of 302 Artillery Regiment (General Support) Nigeria Army, Onitsha, Anambra State, Col. AB Usman has commended gallant officers and soldiers of the command for their forthrightness and untiring commitment to tackling insecurity facing the state and the nation at large.

Usman gave the commendation at the 2021 West African Social Activities (WASA) held at the 302 Artillery Regiment, Onitsha at the weekend.

“These collective sacrifices you made are well appreciated by well-meaning Nigerians and allies of Nigeria.

“Our achievements and successes are dedicated to the Almighty God and to you all,” he said.

The Commander, however, urged them to remain focused, disciplined and steadfast while ensuring that they professionally defeat all adversaries.

Usman urged them to also maintain the spirit of patriotism and continue to give their best in the discharge of assigned duties and responsibilities.

According to him, WASA has been an accepted traditional activity of getting officers/soldiers and their families together in a conducive atmosphere to celebrate the end of year’s activity in the Nigeria Army.

“We are aware of the security challenges facing our dear by country. I, therefore urge you to use this medium to collectively join hands to put an end to this menace.

“Similarly, you are all advised to be very security conscious, observe your environment and report immediately on any suspicious activity or person.

“By the grace of God, we shall soon put this era behind us for good. I also want to assure you of the Regiment’s commitment in maintaining continuous peace in Anambra State,” Usman said.

He sought for prayers and support from the residents of the Cantonment at all time.

The Commander appreciated the General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Enugu, Maj.-Gen. TA Lagbaja and Commander, Corps Artillery, Maj.-Gen. TA Gagariga and Anambra State Government for the support and encouragement.

The series of the day’s event included cultural dances from various states of the federation, drama and tug-of-war.
