CHRISLAND SHOOLS’ MANAGEMENT DEFENDS DECISION TO SUSPEND FEMALE STUDENT IN VIRAL SEX VIDEO

The authorities of Chrisland Schools, the institution at the centre of the sex scandal involving some students of the school have defended the decision to suspend the female student.

The suspended ten-year old pupil was filmed having sex with some pupils of the institution in a hotel room in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

The students had visited Dubai to participate

in the World School Games when the unfortunate incident occurred.

The Head Teacher of the institution , Mrs GI Azike who signed  the letter suspending the child dated April 14, 2022, alerted the parents that the pupil was suspended for improper conduct and behavior.

The letter stated that the institution has zero tolerance for improper behavior and conduct.

The school stated that an investigation had been concluded on the matter and the parents of all the pupils involved duly notified.

The letter stated further that the student had been placed under indefinite suspension until she is duly punished, counseled and rehabilitated.

“It was discovered that your daughter was involved in improper behaviour during the recently concluded World School Games in Dubai with a few of her counterparts wilfully participated in a game they called ‘Truth or Dare’, a game which led her and a few other co-learners to carry out an immoral act after the lights-out instruction was given.

“In line with our core values centred on discipline, Chrisland Schools have zero tolerance for any improper behaviour and misconduct.

“A full-scale investigation has been done and the parents of all the culpable learners have been duly notified of the necessary punishment meted out on the learners.

“The parents gave their full cooperation realising the need to work with the school so that the learners can be corrected and be of expected proper behaviour henceforth.

“However, in the course of the school’s efforts to see how best we can help…who was a major participant in the whole incident, every effort to inform you as her parents about the incident and ensure that this improper behaviour is permanently corrected, has proved to be futile.

“We cannot as a school condone such.

“Consequently, (the student) is hereby placed on an indefinite suspension until you as the parents ensure that she is punished, adequately counselled and rehabilitated.”

But the mother of the girl said on Monday that her daughter was raped by her peers, and had it recorded and posted it online.

The mother released a video where she alleged that Chrisland tried to cover up the incident.

She stated that the school threatened her daughter not to talk to anyone about the incident or else they would kill her.

According to the mother, the school also carried out abortion test on the pupil while  claiming to be conducting COVID 19 on her.

Already, the Lagos State Government has closed down the school in reaction to the outrage that followed the release of the video on social media.
