Reacting in an interview with NAN on Monday, Mr Osuntokun, a former  Managing Director of the Agency, said  Buhari’s death could not be said to be shocking or tragic as he lived a long and eventful life.

He described Buhari  as  a  charismatic figure, who was loved by many, especially in the North.

Mr Osuntokun added that  the former president fought consistently  to keep the country together.

“In a manner of speaking, he achieved more out of power than when he served as elected President.

“He himself said his utility as President was limited by his age.
