The President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, Thursday morning returned  from his London trip ahead of the inauguration ceremony scheduled for tomorrow.

Buhari had traveled to the United Kingdom since Friday last week on a private visit where he later met with British Prime Minister, David Cameron.

A statement by the Head of Media Team of the President-elect, Malam Garba Shehu, had said Buhari will use the opportunity of the visit to take a much-deserved rest ahead of his inauguration on May 29th.

“He is expected back in the country a few days before the inauguration, refreshed and ready to hit the ground running once he is sworn into office.”

But Buhari returned 24 hours to his inauguration.

He was scheduled to engage on tour of the Presidential Villa alongside the Vice President-elect, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo today.

President Goodluck Jonathan had earlier announced the plan to take his successor round the seat of power as part of the inauguration ceremonies.
