Buhari, Abbas, Sanwo-Olu, Others Hail Tinubu At 72

News Investigators/ Former President Muhammadu Buhari has commended his successor in office, President Bola Tinubu for his sustained effort to tackle the many challenges of the nation.

Mr. Buhari in a goodwill message to the President on the occasion of his 72nd birthday prayed for good health for Mr. Tinubu in his task of nation building.

The former president, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu wrote: “My family and I pray to God that you remain healthy and happy and continue to work for the betterment of the country. Happy birthday to you!”.

Similarly, the governor of Lagos, Babajide, Sanwo-Olu and his Rivers counterpart, Siminalayi Fubara hailed the president at 72.

Mr. Sanwo-Olu, in a statement by his media aide Gboyega Akosile, described Tinubu as “a courageous, audacious, and passionate leader committed to the progress, growth, and development of Nigeria.”

According to him, “President Tinubu’s financial wizardry and economic intellect, which he put to good use as the Governor of Lagos State, have taken our dear state to a greater height.

“Today, Lagos is the pride of Nigeria, occupying an enviable position as the fifth largest economy in Africa,” the Lagos governor said.

Mr. Fubara disclosed this in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, on Thursday, described President Tinubu as a selfless leader, an advocate of peace and unity, and a bridge builder who has engendered the country’s growth of democracy.

Also, the House of Representatives Speaker, Abbas Tajudeen, felicitated Tinubu.

In a congratulatory message by his media aide, Musa Krishi, Abbas described Tinubu as “a grandmaster of progressive politics.”

Likewise, the Deputy Senate President, Senator Jibrin Barau, congratulated Tinubu, describing him as a visionary leader.

Mr. Tinubu had earlier urged well-wishers, friends and family members to keep his birthday low-key citing the mood of the country.

He told anyone wanting to place advertisement to channel the resources to charity homes on his behalf.
