Brigadier-General Laleye Resumes As New Army Spokesman


The newly appointed spokesman of the Nigerian Army, Brigadier General Olajide Laleye, has resumed his duty post at the Army Headquarters, Abuja.

Laleye took over on Tuesday from his predecessor Brigadier General Attahiru Ibrahim, who had been posted to command the 13th division of the army, headquartered in Calabar.

Speaking during the handing over ceremony at the Army Headquarters in Abuja, the outgoing spokesman of the Army, Brigadier General Ibrahim thanked the Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Azubuike Ihejirika for the opportunity to serve the army as the director of information and his current Command appointment.

Also speaking, the new army spokesman Brigadier General Olajide Laleye said, “The directorate of army public relations will bring into sharp focus all that the Nigerian Army has achieved in the fight against terrorism.”
