By Nuel Suji -Fresh facts emerging from the National Assembly revealed the Mace was forcefully taken away by unknown persons while the senate was preparing to resume plenary.
“It was shocking, in a commando style, some guys who claimed to be with the suspended Delta North senator, Ovie Omo-Agege gained access to NASS and forcefully took the mace away,” an eye-witness who pleaded not to be named told News Investigators.
Mr. Omo-Agege, who was suspended last week over his pro-Buhari stance was also sighted at the entrance of the chamber before the incident.

The senate is yet to respond officially to the development.
