The group chief executive officer of Access Holdings Plc Herbert Wigwe and fiver others have died in a helicopter crash in the United States.
There are reports those onboard the aircraft included Wigwe’s wife and son and the group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group) Abimbola Ogunbanjo.
The Network gathered that the sad incident occurred on Friday night.
The aircraft, a Eurocopter EC 130, was on its way to Las Vegas when it crashed near a border city between Nevada and California on Friday night.
The helicopter was carrying six people onboard when it came down around 10 pm on Friday.
The County Sheriff’s Department of San Bernardino, the authorities became aware of the crash around 10pm on Friday night.
“We are not able to confirm how many people were on board or their names. No survivors have been located.”
