Bayelsa Rep trains 412 constituents on Entrepreneurial training, gives out N41.2m take-off grant

More than 412 women and youths in Brass-Nembe Federal Constituency of Bayelsa State, were weekend trained on an Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme and empowered with N100,000 take-off grants for their businesses for maximum profit.
The Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme, which was facilitated by the Member of the Federal House of Representative representing Brass/Nembe constituency, Hon. Isreal Sunny-Goli in partnership with the Border Communities Development Agency (BCDA, is conceptualized, to equip them with the requisite knowledge required to effectively run their businesses for maximum profit.
A total of 412 Small and Medium Scale Enterprise (SMSE) operators from Brass-Nembe Federal Constituency, gathered at Opu-Nembe (Bassambiri) and Twon-Brass, where they were taken through an Entrepreneurship Development Training Programme.
Hon. Isreal Sunny-Goli, however called on the beneficiaries to maximise the training programme, so as to achieve the purpose for which it has been conceived, saying it is tailored to help them improve on their entrepreneurial skills so they can grow their businesses beyond their current level of operation.
Sunny-Goli said he looks forward to seeing the beneficiaries become a reference point of successful entrepreneurs, who started small, but has with diligence, commitment, dedication, and discipline, grown their businesses into household names in their respective enterprise.
At the end of the training programme, each participant received the sum of ₦100,000, with a charge from the sponsor of the programme, Hon. Israel Sunny-Goli, that they plough the money into their businesses, to expand it.
Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries in Twon-Brass, Mrs. Iniemiekuma Thompson, an SMSE operator from Brass L.G.A, expressed appreciation to the Federal lawmaker for prioritizing the welfare of his constituents, assuring him that the knowledge they have acquired during the training session, and the money he has made available to boost their businesses, shall be judiciously utilised. She also thanked him for the consideration given to women folks from the constituency.
Other beneficiaries from Nembe LGA, Fagha Shidi and Rose Iyalla, applauded the initiative from Sunny-Goli, saying the gesture has injected life into their struggling businesses. They called on other political office holders to emulate the people-centred programmes of Sunny-Goli, pointing out that he has raised the bar in the area of representation.
