YOLA/By Tom Garba – Lutheran Archbishop, Panti Filibus Musa has said that as long as Liya Sharibu, the only Dapchi girl still being held by Boko Haram remains in captivity for her faith, Christians all over the country are far from freedom.

Archbishop Musa called for the immediate release of Liya and the remaining Chibok girls.

The Clergy who spoke Sunday at the Arch-Cathedral of the Lutheran Church of Christ Nigeria (LCCN) in Numan, Adamawa State, expressed solidarity with all those who suffer for their faith.  He also sent condolences to families of those who have died.  While saluting those who refused to give on their faith.

As part of his Easter message to Nigerian, the Archbishop called on the Christians to be firm in their faith in Jesus Christ.

He particularly mentioned saying that if Liya Sharibu is held in captivity for her faith all the Christians are not also free. He said no one is free if there is one of the Christians in captivity because of her faith.

“It is a national disgrace that this girl is being held because she confesses her faith in Christ.” His Grace called on the Christians to never give up.

“They can destroy this body but our Eternal life they cannot, let us be inspired by the message of Easter to walk in contradictions to works of darkness and evil,” he admonished.

Earlier in the service, the Hama Bachama, Homon Stephen Irimiya said the Lord has been the one watching over the land.

Homon Irmiya called on the youths to be followers of elders. He thanked God for protection and the relative peace being enjoyed.

He acknowledged that there were skirmishes in some parts of the state, but noted that everything is under control. He thanked the church for standing in prayers
