APC Senators Condemn Invasion Of NASS By Policemen

Senators of  All Progress Congress(APC) have condemned what they termed, the invasion of National Assembly by Policemen Thursday, saying, the actions were illegal and criminally inclined.

The lawmakers who spoke separately with newsmen after plenary session on Thursday described the situation as unfortunate.

Lamenting, Minority Leader of Senate, Senator Gorge Akume said that the actions of Policemen were “illegal and criminally inclined.”

He said that how can government that find it difficult to combat insurgency now moved arms into National Assembly premises.

Also, commenting on the 2015 elections, Akume said Nigerians will resist any attempt to rig next year elections as he also called on the international community to pay attention to forthcoming election in Nigeria.

Also, condemning the incident , Senator Olushola Adeyeye said the incident clearly shows that Nigeria is in serious mess driven by PDP power mongering.

He said: “Going by what happened today, it is crystal clear that Nigeria is in a big mess and not just in crises.

“Infact, if not for the dexterity of people like the Senate President, David Mark, in managing the crises all along, the mess would have been bigger than this.”
