APC HAS NOT FIXED DATE FOR PRIMARIES – MORKA

The National Publicity Secretary of All Progressive Congress, APC, Barrister Felix Morka, has debunked media reports that the party has fixed April 30, for its presidential Primaries.

Morka, told journalists on Wednesday that the APC, is yet to conclude the discussion of the issue.

According to him, what’s being circulated in the social media as the dates for party primaries is false.

“Very soon. I can confirm that very shortly the details and information will be made available to the public.” He disclosed.

He stated this at the end of the National Working Committee Wednesday at the party’s Secretariat.

He stated that the NWC of the APC met and discussed several issues including the program for the party’s primaries.

“We are yet to conclude on a definite plan or timetable or schedule for our primaries.  But, I can confirm that we did have that conversation today.  We begin it today.  But we have not concluded or made any decision”. Barrister Felix Morka, stated.

“I can confirm that we have had discussions. But we have not made any decision. I am not aware of anything that is trending because we have not put out any information.

“Well, we have not put up any information into the public space about the schedule of our primaries. But what I am confirming to you is that we had that discussion.  And it is still in progress. And as soon as the details are concluded, and a decision is made, you will be the first to see or hear about it.

Speaking on the new Electoral Act and the appointees of government on resigning before primaries, he said the ministers both the ministers and other appointees and the party leadership have excellent counsels and guidance on the issue.

“I am sure everyone involved intends to comply fully with the intendment and letters of the Electoral Act”.  He said.
