APC E-registration: Sen. Wadada Donates N20m, Forms To Support Exercise

News Investigators/ APC-Nasarawa Senators, Aliyu Wadada, has donated N20 million and 27,000 membership registration forms to the All Progressives Congress (APC) to facilitate the ongoing party membership e-registration exercise in Nasarawa State.

Mr Wadada, who represents Nasarawa West Senatorial District and a governorship aspirant in the state, made the donation on Tuesday at the APC State Secretariat in Lafia.

He said the support was aimed at boosting mobilisation of party members and ensuring the success of the e-registration exercise across the state.

“Today, we have come in our own way to support the party. We have always been committed party members and will continue to do whatever is necessary for the good of the party and, by extension, the people,” he said.

The senator explained that the 27,000 registration forms would be shared across the 13 local government areas (LGAs), with each LGA receiving 2,000 forms and an additional 1,000 forms kept as backup.

He further announced the financial breakdown of the donation, saying each of the 13 LGAs would receive N1 million through the party, while the three senatorial zones would get N1 million each.

According to him, the state party headquarters would receive N3 million, while N1 million would be given to staff of the party.

Mr Wadada commended President Bola Tinubu and the APC National Working Committee for initiating the e-registration exercise, describing it as a step toward digitalising party membership and securing members’ data.

He also lauded Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule for his leadership style, which he said had continued to promote peace and unity in Nasarawa State.

“Politics is about development. We should not respond to anything that is not developmentally inclined. We must remain respectful, committed and focused at all times,” he advised party members.

In his remarks, the APC Chairman in Nasarawa State, Aliyu Bello, thanked  Wadada for the donation and support.

Mr Bello assured that the registration forms and financial assistance would be distributed to the 13 LGAs as announced.

He expressed optimism that Nasarawa State would rank among the top-performing states in the ongoing APC e-registration exercise, given its current standing on the registration chart.
