By Nuel Suji – Former Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Adesola Amosu(rtd) has been arrested by the officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged financial misconduct while in the office.AVM. Adesola Amosu

The retired Air Vice Marshall, it was learnt, is being interrogated over alleged fraud in the questionable purchase of two helicopters without rotor.

Two Air Force officers flying one of the helicopters after being fixed with a rotor from another helicopter, died last year when it crashed near Yola, the Adamawa State.

With the development, Amosu will be the first to be invited for questioning by the anti-graft body over sharp practices, after President Muhammadu Buhari two weeks ago directed the agency (EFCC) to beam its searchlight on the retired Military Chiefs, especially their roles on various arms procurement deals targeted to confront the bloody Boko Haram insurgents.
