What could have been another bloody Sunday for Christian in Jos was averted following another bomb explosions that occurred on Sunday at the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Tudun-Wada Jos North, Plateau State where worshipers gathered, but without any casualty.

Tragedy was averted when a vigilant security guard noticed a package suspected to be improvised explosive device planted within the church premises.

According to eyewitness, “immediately the package was thrown outside the building, it exploded multiple times causing panic and fears of possible Boko Haram attacks.

“The sound was heard in most parts of Jos metropolis,” a witnessed explained.

“It was the work of God, the plan of the devil and his agents were foiled miraculously, no one was killed,” the source added.

The police which arrived the scene confirmed it was an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) suspected by most people to have been planted by Boko Haram terror group.

“It was averted because the bomb was detected by the church’s security personnel. There were no casualties,” said Emmanuel Abuh, spokesman for the Plateau state command.

The incident in the Jos North Local Government Area came a week after a suicide bomber blew himself up at the Redeemed Christian Church killing the pastor and four other worshipers.

Also, last week, two explosions occurred at a restaurant and a mosque holding an Islamic sermon, killing 44 people and injuring 67 in the same city.
