They abducted the NYSC members supervising the election.

At Alepupa and Jingbe, they repeated the atrocity. It was the same thing in Oliyewu, where a PDP agent was attacked with a machete and has been placed on danger list at the hospital.

The thugs further sacked Legbira, Elebisire, Erinjo, Agric, Ajebandele and adjacent polling units and during the entire period, there was no police or military patrol team in sight to salvage the situation.

Oposun-Onisere-Omifunfun ward has a boundary with Benin and Ore.
All the villages were allegedly ransacked by APC thugs led by one ‘Cobble’.
They later moved to Bajare axis of the community to continue ballot snatching.
A former Commissioner of Information and Strategy in the State, Hon. Kayode Akinmade who witnessed the mayhelm confirmed the development.
According to Hon. Akinmade, “the armed men rode in the polling unit in several motorcycles. Then they began to shoot,” he said.
The former Commissioner lamented why elections can not simply be conducted in a free and fair atmosphere devoid of violence.
“I’m beginning to have doubt about the future of our democracy as a nation. Why do you need to maim, kill or hack a fellow human being because of election. This is certainly not what the Nigerian people bargain for,” he quipped.
