News Investigators/ The governor of Ondo State, Rotimi Akeredolu on Tuesday announced the sacking of all the media aides of his deputy, Lucky Ayedatiwa.
A statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Olabode Richard Olatunde, directed the affected media aides to submit all government properties in their possession to the Acting Permanent Secretary, Office of the deputy Governor.

Mr. Olatunde did not state the reason for the governor’s action, the statement said the directive takes immediate effect.

The affected aides were appointed by Mr. Akeredolu but seconded to the deputy governor’s office.

They include: Press Secretary to the Governor, Kenneth Odusola; Special Assistant to Governor (New Media) Oladipupo Okunniga; and Special Assistant to the Governor (Photography) Samson Abayomi Adefolalu.

Similarly, the Press Crew attached to the office of the deputy governor has been disbanded.

Consequently, all members of the Press Crew are to report back to their various ministries and stations.

Equally, the ministry of Information and Orientation is directed to provide adequate coverage for the activities of the deputy’s governor office henceforth.

This is coming barely five days after the governor returned to Nigeria after three months medical leave in Germany. The governor apparently must have been enraged with the handling of his medical leave by the deputy’s media team.
