News Investigators/ Kaduna State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Youth Consultative Forum has endorsed Shuaibu Idris, popularly known as Mikatai, for the governorship ticket of the party for 2027.
The forum said the endorsement followed extensive consultations and a careful assessment of the political realities and leadership needs of Kaduna State.
In a statement signed by its Chairman, Aminu Yahaya, the group stated that the endorsement was based on merit, competence, leadership capacity and integrity, rather than sentiment or ethnic considerations.
According to the statement, Kaduna State requires a leader with a sound understanding of governance, intellectual capacity, integrity and the ability to unite the people and drive development across the state.
The forum described Idris as an experienced and intellectually grounded politician with the capacity to address the socio-economic and political challenges confronting the state.
It added that his educational background, administrative experience and human resource management skills distinguished him among contemporary political actors in the state.
The group further cited Idris’ integrity, credibility and grassroots support as key factors that informed its endorsement.
