ADC Accuses Sokoto Govt Of Denying Delelgates Hotel Accomodation, Condemns Alleged Forcible Eviction

News Investigators/ The African Democratic Congress (ADC), has condemned the Sokoto State government for allegedly instructing hotels in Sokoto to deny accomodation to it’s delegates ahead of its flag off campaign in the State.

The delegates are arriving Sokoto for the flag off ceremony of its presidential campaign coming up on Saturday.

The Presidential Campaign Spokesperson, Dahiru Maishanu, in a statement Wednesday condemned what he described as “unbecoming and irresponsible state government instruction to both government owned and privately owned hotels to deny paying citizens the right to stay in their hotels.

“It is equally condemnable to evict customers that have already paid and are currently staying,” the ADC Presidential spokesman stated.

He said the state government’s action smacks of executive rascality and unwarranted partisanship by the state government and it’s agents.

According to him, no amount of intimidation and harassment would deter party members from the attending flag off from all over the country.

Maishanu lamented over how hotels have been informing delegates that they are fully booked from yesterday through Sunday to effectively prevent reservations while evicting those that have paid and living in the hotels..

He assured Nigerians that the flag off will take place on schedule with the Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar , the State Party leader, Right Hon,, Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal and party leaders and members would be in attendance.attendance.
