85 % OF ARRESTED HOODLUMS CAUSING HAVOC IN ANAMBRA FROM A STATE IN THE SOUTH EAST – SOLUDO

•••Soludo Referring to Imo – Source

Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on Friday, said 85 per cent of arrested hoodlums causing havoc in the state are not from Anambra State.

According to the Governor, 85% of the criminals are from a particular state in South East while the remaining 15% come from other South East states.

A source close to the Anambra State Governor told the Network that he was referring to the neighboring Imo State where the Eastern Security Network has its operational headquarters in Orsu Local Government Area of the state.

Anambra communities such as Lilu, ihiala, Orsumogu, Uli, those in Aguta share boundary with some of the areas affected by the IPOB crisis in Imo State.

Soludo disclosed this while touring the burnt Aguata Local Government Area Secretariat, in Ekwulobia.

He said that the armed criminals had been operating as kidnappers, rapists, etc. for close to two years from camps set up in Aguluezechukwu and Ogboji communities.

“The security personnel in the state clamped down on them and in the process of fleeing, they set Aguata LGA headquarters ablaze,” he said.

According to the Governor, his stance on offering amnesty to those in the bush, is for them to be rehabilated and become useful to the society.

Soludo, however, stressed that those who refused the offer would face the full wrath of the Law because they can’t intimidate the people of the state.

Items recovered in their camps are registers of kidnapped victims, weapons, charms, etc.

Soludo assured the people that peace and stability would return in Anambra and SouthEast.

“Anybody in the bush is a criminal and will be treated as such. We will come after criminals because the people’s power must triumph.

“We must create a liveable and prosperous homeland where peace, security and progress must thrive,” he said.
