2027: Makinde-Daura Campaign Organisation Launches Nationwide Town Hall Meetings

News Investigators/ The Makinde-Daura Presidential Campaign Organisation has announced the immediate kick-off of its nationwide zonal town hall meetings, beginning in Katsina, to engage citizens and grassroots supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Special ‌‌‍‍‌‌‌‌Adviser on Media and Digital Communication to Mr Seyi Makinde, Anthony Ehilebo, announced the development at a news briefing on Sunday in Abuja.

Mr Ohilebo said that the interactive sessions would span all the six geo-political zones across the country.

“As we continue with our consultation and mobilisation, it is imperative to, through you, inform Nigerians that we have commenced our scheduled town hall meetings for broad-based citizen and stakeholder engagement.

“It is slated to hold in the six geo-political zones across the country,” he said.

Mr Ohilebo said that the initial leg would begin with the North-West zone in Katsina on Sept. 22, followed by the South-South zone in Uyo on Sept. 25.

According to him, the North-Central zone will hold in Lafia on Sept. 28 and the South-East zone in Enugu on Sept. 30.

According to him, the meetings will be strictly issue-based and citizen-driven, focusing mainly on national stability and the well-being of all Nigerians.

Ohilebo emphasised that the core mission was to ‘Reset Nigeria to a nation that truly works for all,’ as well as establishing an administration where leaders were accessible, accountable, and transparent in resource management.

He stated that the’Reset Nigeria’ agenda was rapidly turning into a powerful grassroots movement, fueled by widespread solidarity across class, ethnicity and creed.

“Our campaign has become a grassroots movement, gaining an unprecedented upswing momentum and reputation as the fastest growing political movement ahead of the 2027 presidential election,” he said.

This growing momentum, the organisation noted, was already yielding political gains, evidenced by recent support in off-cycle contests and the APM’s victory in the Bauchi State House of Assembly by-election held on Saturday.

“This solidarity and support by Nigerians have been manifest in recent off-cycle elections and by-elections, the latest being the victory of the APM in the Bauchi State House of Assembly by-election at the weekend,” he added.

The campaign concluded by inviting citizens nationwide to participate in the scheduled town hall dialogues.

“Our campaign uses this opportunity to invite Nigerians to Makinde-Daura presidential campaign town hall meetings, while also thanking all citizens for their solidarity as we work hard to ensure the victory of APM and Engr. Makinde in the 2027 presidential election,” he said.
