2027: Don’t Listen To Lies, Propaganda Against Tinubu, Group Urges Nigerians

News Investigators/ Renewed hope Network (TRN), a group founded by former Zamfara State Governor, Abdulaziz Yari of, has urged Nigerians not to listen to lies, propaganda and deliberate distortions against President Bola Tinubu and his government.

Leader of the technical Committee of TRN, Okpokwu Ogenyi, made the call while speaking with newsmen at a solidarity rally at the ongoing national convention of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja on Friday.

Mr Ogenyi also called on opposition parties to bury their angers and see the laudable achievements of the president in all sectors of the nation’s economy.

According to him, the President has demonstrated capacity, commitment and willingness to lead Nigeria to the promised land through his policies, programmes and visible achievements.

“We call on opposition figures and those who feel aggrieved as a result of the ongoing re-engineering and rebuilding of Nigeria by Tinubu-led government to bury their anger.

“They should open their eyes to see the benefits of the ongoing reforms of this administration, as we believe no one can see clearly if eyes are closed.

“As Nigeria prepares for another election in 2027, we also admonish Nigerians not to listen to lies, propaganda and deliberate distortions against the person of Tinubu or his government.

“We are using this medium to alert Nigerians that spin doctors, propagandists and blackmailers are being hired by the opposition figures to do their dirty jobs.

“However, we believe that the will of the people will always prevail because we are in the majority,” he said.

Speaking on some of Tinubu’s achievements, Mr Ogenyi said that the president was addressing terrorism and insecurity, while it had also addressed the issues of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) that had been on for several years.

“Today, Nigerian students no longer drop out of school as a result of strikes or financial difficulty.

“President Tinubu has resolved the funding crises for the less-privileged students through Nigeria Education Loan Funds (NELFUND).

“His regime has made petroleum products available and at the highest quality, and no one is sleeping at filling stations as it used to be.

“It is no longer news that inflation has been subdued by the Tinubu-led federal government, from 34 per cent to 15 per cent,  while foreign reserve has increased to 48.5 billion dollars.

“Foreign loans are being paid off on daily basis. Nigerians in the diaspora are returning home and our economy is fast growing,” he stated.

On why many governors and prominent politicians were joining APC, Ogenyi attributed it to the giant strides and achievements by the Tinubu-led government.

“APC is indeed in the right direction with 32 state governors in the party.

“It is in appreciation of President Tinubu that serving governors and top politicians across Nigeria are trooping to APC because Asiwaju has redefined governance and party administration,” he said.

Ogenyi appreciated the founder of the group, Yari, for thinking it wise to initiate the body to propagate the achievements of the president and his commitment to the people of Nigeria.

Ogenyi said TRN would continue to network the grassroots to sensitise Nigerians to the implementation of the Renewed Hope mandate for the benefits of all.

He said that the group had led thousands of supporters of the president to the APC national convention to show support and appreciate several achievements recorded so far by the president.
