News Investigators/ Lafia, the Nasarawa atate capital on Saturday, attracted political leaders and supporters from across the North-Central region at the All Progressives Congress (APC) mega rally in support of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the re-election campaign rally for President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, was organised by the APC under the North Central Grassroots Mobilisation Network.
The rally was hosted by Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule and other governors from the region, while the First Lady, Sen Oluremi Tinubu was the special guest of honour.
It was attended by top party leaders, including the APC National Chairman Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, who was represented by Sen. Hope Uzidinma, the Imo state governor and Chairman, Nigeria Governors Forum.
Others attendees were ministers, governors, legislators, and other dignitaries and the grassroot members of the party who all drummed their support for Tinubu and Shettima continuity.
Sule acknowledged the good work of the president, saying, there are a lot of infracstructiral development in his state due to the current administration’s effort.
Uzodima, on behalf of the APC National Chairman, said that the next administration of Tinubu would promote Nigerians from reform to prosperity.
He said Tinubu tackled the issue of food security, pushed for economic stability, educational funding and other programmes.
He said that the president fulfilled most of what he promised during his last campaign, adding that continuity matters for Nigeria to “get to the promise land”.
Sen. George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) encouraged the people of the North Central to vote for Tinubu.
The Benue governor Rev. Hyacinth Alia and and his Plateau counterpart, Caleb Mutfwang, said that they would deliver theirs states for Tinubu come 2027.
”In infrastructure development no president has done what our president has done.
”Our First Lady has cared for us immensely in Benue, it is time for us to appreciate you by making sure that Mr President returned to office,” Alia said.
Mutfwang expressed optimism that Tinubu, due to his performance, would win the upcoming presidential election.
