2023: IPOB ATTACKS MIYETTI ALLAH

••• DISTANCES SELF FROM OBIDIENT MOVEMENT
•••SAYS NOT ALL IGBO SUPPORT BIAFRAN AGITATION

By John Ugo , Awka

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Sunday described as laughable and disgraceful a statement credited to Saleh Alhassan of the Miyetti Allah group which linked it with the raging Obidient Movement.

The Obidient movement is a support body pushing for the actualization of the Presidential ambition Mr. Peter Obi , the Candidate of the Labour Labour Party in the 2023 elections.

Director of Media and Publicity of IPOB, Comrade Emma Powerful, in a statement to newsmen in Awka, on Sunday said the body knows that terrorists masquerading as cattle herders constantly linking Peter Obi with IPOB and Biafra agitation are doing so because of their hatred against Igbos and their fear for Biafra.

He said that he expected Miyetti Allah to know that “that IPOB does not engage in seasonal jamboree and selection process called Nigerian election.”

He stressed that the outlawed group has no interest in the politics of the country.

According to him, not all Igbo ms supporting the Presidential ambition of Obi besieged in the Biafra project.

The group said that Obi was involved in the politics of Nigeria different from their objectives and pursuit of a referendum for Biafra.

“If Peter Obi believes in what we are pursuing he wouldn’t have come out in the first place to contest for Nigeria President.

“The Nigerian government and their brothers linking Peter Obi with IPOB agitation means they have exhausted their blackmail against Peter Obi, hence, they have resorted to tribal politicking.

“Again, to say that IPOB has fallen into obedient structure is a joke taken too far and an insult to this noble movement and to the spirits of all our heroes and heroines who have paid the ultimate price for the freedom of the Biafran people and for the restoration of our sovereignty…

“Nigerians should understand that not every indigenous Igbo, Ibibio, Anang, Izon, Ogoni, Urhobo, etc, from Biafra extraction supports the Biafra agitation by IPOB. While some are in support, others are against.

The group says that its major preoccupation is the unconditional release of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu and a referendum for Biafra and not a Nigerian President of Igbo extradition.
