By Sadiq Umar – The United States (U.S.) has condemned the Tuesday suicide attacks at the Internally Displaced Persons camp in Dikwa, Borno State in which scores of persons were killed.
A statement by the U.S. Embassy in Abuja, Thursday, said the “U.S. condemns the reported suicide attacks on internally displaced persons in Dikwa town, Borno state that occurred on February 9. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims.
“The United States remains committed to assisting internally displaced populations in northeastern Nigeria through humanitarian relief efforts.
“We also continue to support the Nigerian government in its fight against terrorism,” it added.
