By Tom Garba, Yola – Nigerians have been called upon to have a rethink in their attitude towards God and their nation as Nigeria is destined for greatness.

Presiding Bishop of Christ Life Bible Church (USA), Right Reverend Dr. Julius Abiola, who was in Yola, the Adamawa state capital for the 10th Steward Conference of Peace Way Ministry aka (Shalom Assembly), expressed displeasure over the way things are in the country.

According to him, Nigeria is a great nation with great potentials, made up of great people, lamenting however, that things are not working as it ought to.

Dr. Abiola who is based in the U S decried the poor state of the nation, stressing that about 30% of doctors in the U S are Nigerians who were born and trained at home, but today they are professional in another country while Nigeria is lacking doctors.

The Reverend disclosed he has covered the 5 continents and discovered that Nigerian tend to do better outside the shores of their country, Why?

“Nigerians are becoming more unpatriotic, our attitude towards God and our nation needs to change, change is seriously needed from the leadership down to the people, we need to pray to change our mindset”, he stated.

The Federal, State and local government should explore new and exciting avenue for development, they should look on how to develop the solar and wind energy potentials which we have in abundance for maximum productivity.

“We should look at other countries and learn from them, Canada for example uses waste to generate energy”

“Nigerians should be encouraged to be self-sufficient to be able to function well”, the man of God advised.

Abiola stated that although government is doing its best, but its best is not enough hence, all hands must be on deck to make Nigeria work.

He urged Nigerians to pray without ceasing for God to perfect things that concerned the nation.

“I believe in Nigeria, I believe it can work again”, Abiola affirmed
