Troops of 26 Task Force Brigade in Gwoza, Borno  State, Tuesday evening decimated Boko Haram  terrorists fleeing Sambisa forest killing scores of its members.
Defence authority said the fleeing terrorists who were in 7 Pick up vans mounted with assorted weapons  such as Rocket Propelled Grenades and Anti-Aircraft Guns  were decisively dealt with, following continued aerial bombardment by the Nigerian Air Force.
A release by PRNigeria, an image maker for the Army, said the troops also destroyed vehicles, weapons and motorcycles belonging to insurgents while it recovered a vehicle, 1 motorcycle and 2 AK47 riffles and large quantities of 7.62mm NATO and 12.7mm ammunitions.
 The troops have intensified their patrols and offensive actions against the terrorists in the area.
