The Ekiti state Correspondent of PUNCH newspaper, Mr. Kamarudeen Ogundele, was attacked in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday and beaten to a stupor by thugs.
The hoodlums are suspected to be loyal to the Peoples Democratic Party, who continued to lay siege to the All Progressives Congress lawmakers.
Ogundele had gone to gauge the mood in town following the tension over move by APC lawmakers against Governor Ayodele Fayose, when the thugs descended on him, beating him to a pulp.
He was trying to take the picture of women praying for peace in the state, when they thugs descended on him.
His clothe was torn into shreds by the hoodlums who got angry for taking the picture after seizing his phone.
