YOLA/By Tom Garba – A presidential aspirant, under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sule Lamido has described the anti-corruption fight of Buhari’s administration as lopsided.

The former Jigawa State governor claimed that all corruption cases in the country are against those who are not in the same party with the president.

While faulting the President’s claim on fighting insecurity in the country, Mr. Lamido said that the incessant killings of innocent Nigerians and destruction of properties are signs of failure of the APC government.

The presidential aspirant said his intention to vie for the highest job in land was informed by the desire to change the bad situation Nigerians have found themselves, adding that his “desire is to serve the people and contribute my quarter to redeem our bad economy ”

He assured the party that if given the ticket, he would redeem the nation’s dignity that has been eroded as a result of bad governance been provided by the APC lead government.

” l am the person Nigerians needs now, I have all it takes to salvage our country ”

The former governor and former minister added that his vast experience in the Nigeria polity stands him out as the aspirant to beat.

“In all our struggles in the party, I have remained resolute, I have never left the party”

At the party Secretariat, Mr. Lamido was received by the state chairman and other members of the state working committee of the party.

In his remark, the state chairman, AT Shehu observed that so far, only eight party members have signified their intention to vie for the ticket of the party, noting that among those seeking for the ticket, Lamido is the most experienced.

He stressed however, that all the aspirants of the party have what it takes to rule Nigeria and lead the country back to glory.

But added it would be the joy of PDP if the eight aspirants would seat on a roundtable to present a common front in 2019 presidential election.

Earlier, Director General, Sule Lamido campaign organization Musa El-laiyo said they are in the state to seek the state support in a bid to rule the country.
