By News Investigators – The Rivers State Chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC), Monday accused the state governor, Nyesom Wike of planning to off set six months salary arrears the government of Ekiti State is owing its workers ahead of the forth coming governorship election in that state.

The party said Mr. Wike effectively took over control of the party nationally and has since been spending billions of Naira belonging to Rivers taxpayers to sustain the PDP.

In a statement signed by its state publicity secretary Chris Finebone, Monday, the party decried what it called, “the curious bailout Gov Wike is about offering his Ekiti State counterpart, Ayo Fayose, saying it is coming at a time when there is imminent reduction of the number of civil servants of Rivers State ordered by the governor.

“It comes against a decaying secretariat complex where Rivers State civil servants endure untold inconveniences every working day. Indeed, it comes against the suffering of pensioners owed several months of gratuity and pension.

“Paradoxically, even political appointees of Gov. Wike are enduring untold hardship, suffering and smiling except for the select cabal popularly referred to as Cardinals.”
