Embattled National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola has filed a legal suit at a federal high court in Abuja challenging his last week suspension by the Bamanga Tukur led PDP.

In the suit filed by his lawyer, Prof. Awa Kalu, SAN, Oyinlola is asking  the court to set aside his suspension,  arguing that due process not followed before he was suspended from the party.

Oyinlola is praying the court to reverse his suspension from the party, saying that there were procedures to be followed before any party member could be suspended.

He urged the court to take a judicial notice of his claims that  his suspension was against the constitution of the party.

Oyinlola was suspended by the PDP on November 11, 2013 alongside the factional chairman of PDP, Alhaji Abubakar Baraje, his deputy, Mr. Sam Jaja and Ambassador Kazaure.

The suspension prevented Oyinlola who had threatened to resume office, following the verdict of the Court of Appeal in Abuja which ordered his immediate reinstatement as the PDP national secretary from staging a comeback to the party.
