The Adamawa State Commissioner of Police, John Abakasanga, has said that no one was affected by the explosion which occurred at Kasuwan Kuturu market in Mubi area of the state.
The explosion occurred about an hour before another one that rocked the Wuse 2 area of the capital city, Abuja today.
Mr. Abakasanga said the blast was targeted at a police patrol team but that there was no casualty.
No group has claim responsibility for the blasts.
Adamawa state is one of the three north east states currently under emergency rule because of the activities of the Boko Haram Islamists insurgents.
