By Dipo Awojobi – There was a fire outbreak today at the empty bottle compound of the Lagos plant of Nigerian Breweries Plc in Iganmu, Lagos.
According to the Corporate Affairs Adviser, Nigerian breweries, Mr. Kufre Ekanem, the fire started early in the morning has been put under control by men of the Lagos State Fire Service supported by the Brewery fire team and other nearby corporate organisation.
Similarly, another fire outbreaks have been reported at Kara market in Ogun State.
An official of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Ibrahim Farinloye, who confirmed the incident said two fire fighting trucks of the Lagos State have been deployed combat the inferno.
