Less than 24-hours into the explosion in Kaduna in which over 100 persons lost their lives, another improvised explosive device went off inside the crowded New Road motor park located at Sabon Gari, Kano leaving some persons dead.
The blast which occurred at the Sabo Gari Motor Park, a predominantly Christian area of Kano metropolis according to an eyewitness accounts claimed about six lives in the Bus that was loading to take passengers to Port Harcourt when the explosion occurred.
Police authority said the explosive was hidden inside a refrigerator and was triggered off close to a luxurious bus belonging to one of the transport lines while being loaded into the bus.
The blast an eye witness said ripped through a bus station in Kano as passengers boarded buses out of the city.
According to the Police, only a woman was killed in the blast, but eyewitness feared the casualty figures may be higher. About six people were already on board, the eyewitness said.
