President Goodluck Jonathan has condemned the yesterday killing of the Emir of Gwarzo, Alhaji Idrissa Shehu Timta, by suspected Boko Haram insurgents.

Jonathan reiterated his calls for concerted efforts against the militant Islamic group that has been responsibly for thousands of death in Nigeria.

The President who spoke through his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, said on weekend that Nigerians must unite against terrorism.

The president’s condemnation posted on Abati’s twitter handle @abati1990 reads: President Jonathan condemns killing of Emir of Gwoza, restates calls for Nigerians to unite against Terrorism.”
