Former Commissioner for Employment and Productivity in Ondo state, Mr. Taye Akinyele has been abducted by unknown gunmen.
Akinyele was said to have been kidnapped in company of a female friend six days ago in Akure, Ondo state capital.
The female partner who is wife to a police officer, it was further gathered, is suspected to be in extra-marital relationship with the former commissioner.
The police officer, (name withheld), was said to be indifference to the news of his wife’s kidnap.
The victims were said to have been dropped off to a location on the fateful day in a jeep belong to the junior brother of the woman.
“It was when they entered the former commissioner’s vehicle that they were accosted and forcefully whisked by the assailants,” News Investigators was informed.
When contacted, Ondo state police commissioner, Mr. Isaac Eke, said the case is yet to be brought to his knowledge. “I don’t know about it,” he said in a telephone interview.
