The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), has advised politicians to fear the Almighty God and allow peace to reign as the 2015 elections approaches.

The Council, in a statement by, Mr. Yakubu Sanni, in Ekiti on Monday, said it was very paramount for everyone to remember the day of reckoning, saying everyone will give account of their deeds here on earth.

“We appeal to all political parties to fear Allah and allow peace to reign before, during and after the election.”

Sanni also appealed to Nigerians including politicians to support the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in ensuring free and fair election with the use of  voters card and card readers.

“The council wishes to enjoin all Nigerians to support every measure being taken by the INEC, particularly, the use of Permanent Voter Card and card readers to ensure successful elimination of multiple votes in our electoral history.
