Encomium As Edo Deputy Gov Hands Over Constituency Projects

BENIN/By Nuel Suji – Edo state Deputy Governor Philip Shuaib has been described as a dynamic and accountable leader with the fear of God and respect for the people he represents.

The former member of House of Representatives received the  commendations during the commissioning of constituency projects he executed during his 19-month stint in the House.
The deputy governor represented Etsako West, East and Central in the House of Representatives before he was elected deputy governor in the September 28, 2016 governorship election.
The projects include block of three classrooms each at Eshiebor Primary School, Ofukpo Village in Ekperi, Etsako  Central Local government, Uchi Primary School, Auchi, Etsako West, Esivue Primary School ,Ubiane and Igbuku primary school, Amah. They were all inaugurated in fulfilment of his electioneering promises to the people of the three local government.
At Ofukpo Village, the member representing Etsako Central at the Edo state House Assembly, Hon Demian Lawani said he was overwhelmed by the manner the Deputy Governor hastened completion of the projects, describing him as a selfless leader. He said with the project cited in the once forgotten village, that Hon Shaibu has given his people a sense of belonging  and ultimately made the job easier for him in the next election.
In their Welcome address,various community and political  leaders including Alhaji Usman Shagadi, Waziri Oshoma and others described Philip Shaibu as a pragmatic leader and accountable representive who has come to make the difference.
On his part, HRH, Alhaji D. Y. E. Ikanoba, the Igiegbai 11 of Ekperi kingdom commended Hon Shaibu for matching words with action, saying that the state Deputy Governor represents light which his people have to follow out of dackness.
The various school headmasters also thanked Shaibu for the RedRoof projects commissioned.

Shaibu who thanked the people for their cooperation, ascribed the success of the APC RedRoof revolution to the immediate past Governor of the state, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, adding that the schools being inaugurated are to consolidate on the gains of Adams Oshiomhole’s legacies. All the classrooms were supplied with modern furniture of tabket and chairs.
