A Lagos High Court on Monday granted an injunction restraining DAAR Communications (owners of AIT and Ray Power) from broadcasting, transmitting or airing a documentary titled “The Lion of Bourdillon” pending the determination of “a Motion on Notice” before it.

“The Lion of Bourdillion” is a video documentary that chronicles a compendium of deals allegedly committed by the former governor of Lagos and All Progressive Congress (APC) chieftain Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The court, presided over by Honourable Justice Akinkugbe I.O., also adjourned the motion for Interlocutory Injunction on the application of the defendant/respondent counsel to Friday, March 20, 2015 at 1 p.m.

The application was moved by Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, the Lead Counsel to Mr. Bola Ahmed Tinubu Plaintiff/Applicant] in the defamation case against DAAR Communications.

The defendant/respondent, that is, DAAR Communications[owners of AIT] was represented by Chief Mike Ozekhome, SAN at the court hearing.

It would be recalled that AIT has been airing a sponsored documentary which chronicled the alleged sleaze of the former Governor during and after he left office.
