Confab C’ttees Turn In Reports, Delegates Gear Up To Resolve Issues

Not less that 12 Standing Committees of the National Conference have submitted their reports preparatory to final debate and adoptions billed to commence this week.

Delegates are warming up to defend positions on some issues especially those that did not enjoy consensus. Already,  reports of committees on Religion, Land Tenure, Citizen and Environment are scheduled to be discussed on Wednesday.

The Conference had earlier raised concern that it may not meet the 3months deadline for which it is meant to deliver on its mandates.

Meanwhile, the Conference still awaiting the reports of eight committees that are yet to submit.

Some of the committees that are yet to submit their report claimed that they are still printing their reports.

Committees that are yet to submit their reports include Political Restructuring, Devolution of Power among others.

Those that had laid their reports to the enlarge Conference include: National Security, Law and Judiciary, Environment, Land Tenure, social Sector, Economy, Trade and Investment, Religion and Politics and Governance.
