•Says This Is The Last Time He’ll Run For Elective Office

By Emmanuel Adesuji, Abuja.

Formerly military Head of State, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, last night, lobbied the Senators and House of Representatives members on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, ahead of his declaration at the Eagle Square, Abuja, today.

Buhari uses the meeting which was held at the International Conference Centre, ICC, at about 8pm, to seek their support to realise his presidential ambition.

Speaking at the parley, he said that enough is enough of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) rule, adding that at this point in time, Nigeria need a focused leadership.

He told the gathering that this will be the last time he will run for elective office considering his age and other issues.

He reiterated his pledge to support whoever emerged as his party’s flag bearer in the forthcoming presidential election.

He dismisses the allegation of religion bigotry hanging on his neck, saying when he was the military Head State, the Nigerian Army consists of 80% christian and he never uses religious or ethnic sentiment to deal with anybody.
