Buhari Condemns Maiduguri Bomb Attack

President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the Saturday attacks by Boko Haram on Maiduguri, saying his administration would not condone “wanton and wilful destruction of life by criminal elements that are bent on anarchy.”

Buhari had stated his resolve to deal decisively with the Boko Haram insurgents, describing them a group of mindless youths whose have killed several Nigerians.

Head of his media team, Garba Shehu, said on weekend that the president was committed to tackling insecurity with all the resources available to his government.

He called for increased vigilance by local communities and condoled families of the victims of the latest attacks, assuring them that the “days of the criminal elements will be over soon.”

He condoled the affected families, assuring them that the problem of insurgency would soon come to an end.
