Army Kills Two, Clears Kidnappers Hideout In Kaduna

The Nigerian Army says its troops have killed two bandits and arrested one at a kidnapper’s  hideout in Kaduna State.

The Army, in a statement by its Director Army Public Relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, disclosed that the troops also recovered 1AK-47 rifle and 29rounds of ammunition as well as a Dane gun motorcycle and money.

The statement read: Troops of Sector 6, 1 Division Nigerian Army Internal Security Force deployed at Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State on Saturday 28th October 2017 in conjunction with the Nigeria Police and vigilantes, raided and destroyed armed bandits and kidnappers hideout at a forest near Gobarawa Matari village, Soba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

“On approach at the area, the armed bandits engaged the combined team with volley of fire and the troops responded and gunned down two of the bandits and arrested one of them, named Yusuf Wada.

“They also recovered 1 AK-47 rifle with registration number PT 4130 and 29 rounds of ammunition, as well as 1 Dane Gun, 1 Motorcycle, 3 Mobile telephone handsets and cash sum of N20,000.00k,” it added.
