By Tom Garba, Yola – A member of the Adamawa State House Assembly Hon, Emmanuel Tsandu has expressed frustration over government’s rehabilitation efforts in the State, accusing the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Engr Babachir David Lawal, of concentrating reconstruction effort in his village.

Tsandu pointedly accused Mr. Lawal of being selfish, saying while he had already rebuilt his village ruined by the Boko Haram insurgents, he abandoned other affected areas in Adamawa north.

“The SGF is a selfish individual who will only do something meaningful to his people and his community,” the Adamawa lawmaker alleged.

According to him, he had made efforts to see Mr. Lawal to suggest ways on how to rebuilt all the bridges, schools, places of worship, social amenities destroyed by Boko Haram in the Northern part of Adamawa but without success.

He alleged that Mr. Lawal only singled out his village and rebuilt the bridge, tarred the road leading to his community and electrify the entire community which was not seriously attacked by Boko Haram.

“Babachir is so selfish to us from the Boko Haram most attacked areas. As I’m talking to you, he has not send any support materials to Magadali which is still being attacked by this insurgents, our bridges that links us to Michika and Mubi were smashed down and nobody is given us serious attention”. Tsandu said.

He also claimed that all he kept on hearing was that there is a plan to rebuild the entire Northern Adamawa ravaged by the insurgents.

“All what l do hear is, there is a plan to rebuilt our ruined places by the Federal Government. They are making the whole thing to exist in the pages of newspaper, they are using media men to be making serious noise about it without real action,” he added.
