The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has fixed next Saturday November 30, 2013 as date for the supplementary election for the Anambra governorship poll.

The new date was made known yesterday at a press conference addressed by INEC Chairman Professor Attahiru Jega, in Abuja as the meeting with stakeholders.

The commission had last week declared the governorship election held on 16th and 17th of this month, November as inconclusive, following the non conduct of election in about 150 wards in some parts of the state.

INEC Returning Officer in the election, Mr. James Okueke, who released results for the 21 councils of the state, had said that the front runner and candidate of the  All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Willy Obiano could not be pronounced outright winner as the margin between him the first runner-up, Tony Nwoye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was less than the total number of registered voters in the areas where voting never took place on Saturday.
